Falmouth Regulators Discuss Possible Fertilizer Ban

Falmouth Water Quality Management Committee members, concerned citizens and landscapers weighed the pros and cons of a possible fertilizer ban in Falmouth at the water quality management committee meeting last Monday, May 1.

"We’re talking about spending tens of millions of dollars on sewering to deal with nitrogen, which [people] buy in bags at every hardware store and throw onto the ground," committee chairman Eric T. Turkington said. "The logic escapes me."
